In the last post I showed some black and white shots of one of the cars which is for sure on the cool cars list. Here is the counter to all that monochromatic magic, some colour shots from the same shoot. Now I know that they are not actually technicolor which, of course, is a motion picture colour process from the early 1900's through to the 1950's. I am just trying to evoke some of that fifties feeling into the post, and we all know that 'It's the vibe'.
These were shot on Kodak Pro Image 100. I have to say that it is a film that doesn't excite me a whole lot. They have Pro in the name and all, but it is not anywhere near as good as the Gold 100 that we made here in Coburg in the 80's and 90's. I must do a post which compares some shots on G100 from back in the day with this stock. It is just the grain I think, it is 100 speed, but the grain is bigger than Portra 400. I will just have to wait until some store has it in stock I guess. I get the impression that it is a stock that has had an accountant manage the engineering team.
On the plus side, at least I can get the scans to convert to nice colours.
Keeping it short and sweet today, there were heaps more good shots on the roll but less is more sometimes. Enjoy these and I'll be back with more thoughts and images soon.
